Air Mandalay Limited, the first regional joint venture airline
in Myanmar, was formed on October 6, 1994. 
The shareholders
are the national carrier Myanmar Airways, Air Mandalay Holdings
Pte Ltd of Singapore and Premier Airlines Pte Ltd of Malaysia.
We currently fly to all major destinations in Myanmar and to Chiang
Mai in Thailand.
Air
Mandalay's logo depicts the mythological Royal Hintha Bird which
symbolizes loyalty, respect for traditional values, stability,
good luck and prosperity.
The
colour represents the numerous golden pagodas found throughout
Myanmar-The Golden Land. Burgundy signifies the colour of the
robes worn by Buddhist monks in Myanmar, thus standing for religious
values.
Selection
and training of our cabin crew is aimed at providing high levels
of service consistent with Myanmar’s gentle traditions.
We employ both local
and foreign pilots who are trained at Avions de Transport Regional's
(ATR) training facilities.
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are trained at both ATR and
Pratt & Whitney's facilities.
Air Mandalay's aircraft are maintained to European JAR 145 standards.
All aircraft in Air Mandalay's fleet are inspected twice a year
by French DGAC.
Air
Mandalay’s maintenance facility and maintenance standards are
European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 approved. Air
Mandalay is the only airline in Myanmar with this approval.
Air Mandalay's modern fleet is currently comprised of two ATR
72-212s and one ATR 42-320, built by Aerospatiale of France and
Alenia of Italy and powered by Canadian built Pratt & Whitney
engines.
