Thailand placing on solar panel
The Japanese company Kyocera will provide to
Thailand one millions solar panel in order to build the biggest
solar field of the kingdom. This whole field will provide around 204
megawatts of electricity. This project will be supervised by
Solar Power Company a Thai firm specialized in solar power. The
million of modules provided by Kyocera will be share out in 34
installations, each one of six megawatts. Those solar fields
will then be divided in several locations in the north-east country,
where the sun is the hottest.

Nakhon Phanom is located in the North-east of Thailand and the
Nakhon Phanom province's capital. It's located on the Mekong western
bank, in front of Thakhek city, in Lao. A bridge is under
construction between those two cities, it should be done in 2012. In
this city, every night, an illuminate procession will happens to
honor Buddha, from the 29th September until the 4th

Thailand International Swan boat Race On the 16th and 17th September more than 20 Internationals Teams will take part in a race on the Chao Phraya River, in Bangkok. The vision of those narrow boats, carefully elaborate, with a prow sculpted in the shape of Swan head sliding on the river, is a show not to be missed.
SOLAR AIR FLIES TO CHUMPORN
Thai domestic airline, Solar Air, operates a new route between
Bangkok and Chumphon, the southern of Thailand. The flight on a
19-seat twin-engine propeller aircraft departs daily from Bangkok's
Don Muang Airport at 09h45 and arrives in Chumhon at 11h00.
The return flight from Chumporn is at 14h00 and arrives Bangkok at
15h15. Chumphon is only about an hour 45 minutes from Kho Tao Island

Taxes for passenger service on domestic flights
Starting First June 2011, each passenger for domestic flights, local
or foreigner, will have to pay taxes for passenger service.
Passengers must to pay this tax by themselves directly at airport:

From the 5th until the 11th September, This
traditional Nat festival happens on the Mandalay-Sagaing road
(Around 1 hour far from Mandalay). After, you can take a small boat
on the lake to join the Amarapura festival - sometimes called
Ummerapoura (wish means in Burmese language: City of the immortal)
is an old capital of the country. It's located on the left
Ayerrawady river bank, 25 km far from Ava and located at 11km in the
south of Mandalay. It's often called Taungmyo (Southern Town). Built
in 1783, Amarapura has been the third capital of the Burmese empire
until 1823, then from 1871 until 1860.

Every year for the 18 days of the full moon from October 28 to
October 15, 2011, a beautiful boats range goes from village to
village around Lake Inle with golden Buddha statues on board. Every
day, these sacred statues visit different monasteries and are
honored by the monks. The main vessel that leads the procession is
the Karaweik, the golden bird of mythology Burma. This boat is
monitored by the holy priest and wise men, the Buddhas of the
four-Daw Pagoda Phaung U wearing a veil of conveying. This
traditional feast is also where rower race takes place, standing up,
wearing traditional costumes. It's also the opportunity to become
impregnated with Buddhist spirituality in a amazing scenery. It's

The first private airline in Laos, Phonsavanh Airlines, announced
its wish to come into the regional market this year. Company plans
the first take-off for September landing in Bangkok. Taking-off from

LAO AIRLINES UPGRADES TO JET OPERATIONS
Lao Airlines is upgrading its operations to jet aircraft services.
Company will lease one Airbus A320 later this year, and will
introduce services to Singapore and Japan
The airline has also ordered a new A320 aircraft, which will be
delivered in 2014 Boun Khao Salak or the ancestor festival
Fixed on the 10th full moon of the year (23rd
September 2011), this festival is an unique moment in Lao. First
because of the celebration fullness, but also because of the
incredible numbers of participant and the work and gifts they bring.
Taking part in the Boun Khao Salak festival, allow the procurement
of « merits » wish will be important for the next life. In the
morning, for the offerings, a lot of devout people get to the
temple. More than usually, monks will receive from « the
believers », especially rich gifts as chocolate bars, candies, cakes
of any kind, and even money. (Monk needs it today to pay their

the 7 ancestor's favored food. Each family will prepare the best and
hundreds of meals will arrive on pagoda, submerged with gifts.
Baskets with incense, note book, pens, washing powder, coffee,
lighter and candles, fruits, toilette paper are offered to monks.
Each family will write on small piece of papers few words for their
ancestor’s memory to wish them the best. Each one of them will be
red has high voice in front of the public who will listen with an
absent minded and amused ear. Paradoxically (for occident people)
everybody is quite joyful during those readings and laugh a lot.
Finally, after monks have finished their meal, wish for once are far
from being frugal, they are the devotees who will seat and share
most of the left food, certain people will even take back some of It
to their place.

cooperation as result of meeting who has held in Hanoi between the
Laotian Ministry of information, culture, sports and tourism, and
the Vietnamese Ministry of the culture, sports and tourism. In
cultural area, both parties will coordinate their actions in the
next Vietnamese culture week whish will take place in Laos from the
31st August until the 6th September. On
this special occasion, Vietnamese team will present the national
school of art and music's performances. Both parties will
prepare together a set of cultural and artistic activities to
celebrate the friendship year between the two countries (in 2012),
the 50th diplomatic relations establishment birthday and the

National Sampans race 2011
Hau Giang province is
located in the Mekong delta, broadside on the north with Can Tho
city and at the east with Hau river (a tributary of the Mekong),
with Vinh Long province, bordered on south with Soc Trang and Bac
Lieu, on the west side bordered with Kien Giang province. The Hau
Giang capital is Vi Thanh city, 240 km far on the west south of Ho
Chi Minh City. The National Sampans race 2011 will happen from the
19th until the 21st August at
Xa No canal, in Vi Thanh city, organized with the Cultural,
sports and tourism service's help. At this moment, teams whish come
from Can Tho, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Vinh Long and
Tra Vinh province's cities are register to take part in this event.
Taking part in this contest, each province can be represented with
two teams, one masculine and a female's one. The host province is
allowed to present three teams, two males and a female's one. Teams
will face each other on distance: 800m and 1.200m for men and 600m
and 1.000 for women. This is a sporting activity to honor the August
(19 august) Revolution's and the national day (September, 2nd). National Day ![]()
It's the Vietnam Independence day's commemoration, acquired by Hô
Chi Min the September,2nd 1945. Indeed, It was September,2nd
1945 that Vietnamese president, Ho Chi Minh, proclaimed the country
independance. He established the Democratic republic of Vietnam,
which is today the socialist republic of Vietnam.
The 14th photographic festival of the red river delta
The 14th photographic festival called « Tourist potential
of the red river delta » will take place at the end of August 2011
in Quang Ninh province (on the north-east vietnam, in the Quang Nih
province near China and open on the Tonkin gulf, with a 250km long
littoral), under auspicies of the photographer artist of Vietnam
(VAPA) in coordination with the letters and Art association of Quang
Ninh province. Nine province will take part in this festival: Bac
Ninh, Hung Yên, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh,
Ninh Binh and Thai Binh.
In addition, every professional photographers and amateur from the
red river delta are welcome to take part in the contest. Candidate's
work must reflect the beauty of nature, historical relics and
culture, the feasts, the villages of traditional crafts as well as
the typical features of the life of the inhabitants of the delta…
The deadline for the works receipt is fixed to the 15 august 2011.
Works must be left at the Letter and art association of the Quang
Ninh province, then the ones selected will be presented at the
exhibition which will open on the August, 31st 2011.
The 15th day of the 8th lunar month, on the
September, 12th 2011, the Mid Autumn Festival (called Tet
Trung Thus in Vietnamese) will be celebrated with games and cakes
for kids and their families who watch the moon. Processions of
lanterns and torches but also dance of unicorns leads the
demonstration. There're many legends about this mid autumn moon.
This feast was at first to celebrate the harvest when the
moon is larger than at any moment of the year. Moon is used as
symbol for plenitude and prosperity; during the festival, people
will offer boxes of cakes in the shape of moon (Banh Trung Thu) to
friends and family. At night time, children will march in streets,
singing while handing colored Chinese lantern in hand.
These
Chinese lanterns contain candle which illuminate beautifully the
streets.
Do Son is located 22km to the south of Haiphong, between the two
mouth of Lach Tray and Van Uc. On September, 6th will
happened the sacrifice ceremony dedicate to Ondin. According to the
legend, the buffalo fighting of Don Son is celebrate to get
prosperity and happiness for people living in the area, which
appeared in the XVIII century. Do Son inhabitants, from various
origins, had come to exploit the land, and to create a new life. To
select buffalos able to win prize during the final fight, fighting
playoff are organized. According to the habit, three villages, Do
Son, Do Hai, and Ngoc Xuyen always have buffaloes to compete on
final fights and the number of those is determined by taking into
account the number of men in the 18 hamlets of these 3 villages. The
main day of the festival, many residents of Tra Co (Quang Ninh
province) take their boats to go to Do Son, their ancestral land.
Inhabitants from every part of the city and from other
province are coming in Do Son to take part to festivities. The final
victory sometimes happens in a very short time. However the fighting
moment is carefully prepared, because it’s a « Legendary Event ».
The feast takes place in the town hall of Do Son. Worships flags are
everywhere. Ceremony to introduce incense, on the feast opening,
happened in Nghe temple, in Van Ninh city. Then comes the palanquins
procession, and covered sedan chairs. Worships flags float in the
wind, the procession take place in the sound of eight instruments,
in accompaniment of the buffaloes which are going to appear in front
of the guardian genius of the village. The opening dances,
represented by young men from Do Son get divided in two parts.
Dancers take fight positions’, put themselves in lines or cross
themselves as both armies. After the flags dance, buffaloes are
brought in couple in both sides of the mast to the flag Ngu Phuong.
From the sign of beginning, both buffaloes, from both directions’,
approach, and stop at a distance of some 20m. On the second signal,
the people who brought the buffalo remove abruptly the rope of the
snout's animal. Both buffaloes dash then into the fight, with a lot
of pulled movements: horns colliding, crossing, knocks tearing of
eyes, pricking in the neck... Once the victory is decided, the scene
called « The stopping of buffaloes » happen with also a lot of
attractions’. It's a
necessity to stop at all costs the winning buffalo, to be able to
continue other fights
and determine the first, second and third price. The buffaloes'
fight is part of a feast strictly bound in the custom of worship in
the spirit of the waters, but it also transmission of the military
spirits of Do Son inhabitants. ![]()
From September, 12th 2011 until the 17th , the
Tran temple remains will sheltering religious ceremony and many
other cultural activities: Sacrifice ceremony, palanquins
processions, representation of the popular theater, and also
traditional fight. Nam Dinh province is located in the northern
Vietnam. In this province is located the Nam Dinh city, far from
90km in the south of Hanoi. It's surrounded by Thai Binh province,
of Ha Nam and Ninh Binh but also with the eastern sea. During the day, boat goes slowly near the coral reef, fishermen launchings their lines, when fish bites, they have to move quickly and pulling hard. The fish will be grid and enjoyed on the spot. The evening, It will be for the cuttlefish, in Bai Sao. Tourists will go in places where they are a lot of Cephalopes, then the engine of the boat is cut and all the lights are opened to attract them. With Its strenghs, Phu Quoc island welcomed the past few years a lots of investors, most of them are foreigners, in luxury hotel business and touristic services. This year, the hotel rooms add up to 3.500. Authorities of the Kien Giang province let knows that between 2011-2012, many project will be ready to be used, like the international airport of Duong To, The An Thoi sea and fluvial harbor and also may roads. Phu Quôc moves towards touristic high qualities services, towards the sustainable development and really hopes being able to compete with high places of mass tourism in the area and in the world (for example Phuket in Thailand).

From the 10th until the 17th September, the French cultural center in
Cambodia, organize the Lakhon festival ( « theater » in Khmer language),
meant to « taking part in the rebirth of different kind of theater
in Cambodia », to promote a traditional, but also contemporary, theater
in renewing the national directory. The Lakhon Festival also meant to
help exchange between artists and troupe « from different kind of
culture ». This festival proposes in 2011 adaptations of French plays in
Khmer language, but also in French. Sihanoukville–Koh Puos bridge has been inaugurate ![]()
It's the first bridge of the country to cross the sea. This 900 meters
work, has been called Techo Morakat Bridge, from now on it connects
Sihanoukville to Koh Puos Island. Three years of work and 31 billion USD
were necessary to make what will soon become a luxury Island easy to
reach. The building of several villas and apartment should start next
month on the Island.
New dress code to visit Temples![]()
APSARA authority has published a regulation about the dress code to
visit Angkor Wat and the Banteasy Srei temple. Visitors have to wear
coverings arms and shoulders cloths but also long skirt (no mini-
skirt or short pants). They have to respect rules regarding
photography and movies but also respect behavior rules because there
are sacred place for Cambodian people.
Ancestors day (Pchum Ben) in Cambodia
Phchum Ben is a very popular religious festival will take place from
the 26th until the 18th September.
Cambodians commemorate spirits of the dead and leaves
offerings. The belief wants that if dead soul doesn't see family
leaving gifts in a Wat (temple), the soul will be damned and will
come back to trouble the family during the year. But, it's
especially the occasion to reminds parents or dead friends, and
expressing respects to the living ones. For this event, family
members will get together in native villages and get to Buddhist
temple.
